Faucet Installation and Repair in Conyers

Faucet installation and repair in Conyers is usually a small job with a precise cause: a worn cartridge, a scaled seat, a failed supply line, or a shut-off that will not close. SoCo Plumbers diagnoses the fixture during business hours, Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, repairs where the body is sound, and replaces where it is cracked or corroded through — with a written price agreed before work.

What Faucet Installation and Repair Includes

Every faucet installation and repair visit follows the same core scope: diagnose first, agree the price and scope in writing, do the work, and test before leaving.

  • Full faucet inspectionThe faucet, its supply lines, shut-offs and drain connection are checked, since a drip can come from any of them.
  • Repair or replacementCartridges, seals and seats are repaired where the body is sound; a cracked or corroded body is replaced, and the choice is explained before work.
  • New supply linesSupply lines and shut-offs are renewed where they are aged or seized, so the new or repaired faucet does not depend on a failing valve.
  • Leak test and pressure checkThe fixture is tested under full pressure, hot and cold, before sign-off.
  • Cleanup and haul-awayThe old fixture and parts are hauled away and the sink area is wiped down.

Faucet Installation and Repair in Conyers, Georgia

A faucet drip is a small symptom with a specific cause, and finding it matters: a cartridge, a seat, a seal, a supply line or a shut-off can each drip identically at the spout. Repair makes sense when the body and finish are sound; replacement makes sense when the body is cracked, corroded through, or its parts are no longer available. Our plumbing repairs work covers the wider fixture picture, and our sink and garbage disposal services cover the kitchen end of the same sink; faucet work is the fixture itself, diagnosed before it is swapped.

Conyers water conditions wear faucet internals faster than in softer-water areas, with mineral content building on cartridges and seats and causing drips and low flow. Older homes often carry original brass fixtures and older shut-off valves that need rebuilding or replacement, while newer builds carry builder-grade fixtures that tend to fail at supply lines first. Shut-off valves are checked on every faucet visit, since a faucet repaired onto a seized valve is a job half done. Winter freezes are also checked for, since a cracked supply line announces itself at the first cold snap.

Diagnose the drip, repair the sound body, replace the failed one.

What Happens When You Call

From the first call to the final test, here is the sequence for a faucet installation and repair visit in Conyers, booked during business hours.

  1. Phone Diagnosis

    Phone Call

Call +17708971640 Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM. Tell us which faucet drips, sticks, or runs low and where; we will talk through shutting off the under-sink valves if that is the safe first step.

  2. On-Site Inspection

    Visit and Arrival

We schedule a visit during business hours and confirm the window. On arrival we check the faucet, its shutoffs, and its supply lines first, before any dismantling.

  3. Repair or Replace

    Diagnosis

We identify the faucet type, test cartridge, seat, seals, supply lines and shut-offs, and decide repair versus replacement on the body's condition.

  4. Leak Test and Pressure Check

    Repair or Replacement

The cartridge or seal is replaced, or the new fixture is fitted with fresh supply lines and working shut-offs, then tested hot and cold at full pressure.

  5. Cleanup and Walkthrough

    Test and Walkthrough

Before we leave, the faucet is run hot and cold, checked for drips at every joint, and we walk you through what failed and what to watch next.

Tools and Methods We Use

  • Plumbing Repairs

    Pipe wrench

Used to loosen and tighten supply lines and shutoff valves under the sink without damaging the fittings.

  • Drain Cleaning

    Basin wrench

Reaches the mounting nuts behind a sink where a standard wrench will not fit, making faucet removal and installation faster.

  • Burst or split supply pipe flooding a room

    Pipe cutter

Cuts copper pipe cleanly when we need to replace a corroded section feeding the faucet.

  • Sewer backup into tubs and floor drains

    Press tool

Connects PEX tubing and copper pipe without soldering, which is faster and safer in tight cabinets.

  • Water heater leaking or out of hot water

    Leak detection equipment

Finds hidden moisture behind walls or under cabinets when a faucet leak has spread beyond the sink.

  • High-use fixture failure

Teflon tape and pipe thread sealant

Seals threaded connections on supply lines and shutoff valves to prevent drips.

  • Recurring commercial drain backup

2024 International Plumbing Code with Georgia Amendments (UPC)

We follow UPC standards for fixture installation, supply line sizing, and shutoff valve placement. That keeps the work code-correct and inspection-ready.

  • Commercial water heater shortfall

    EPA WaterSense

When you want to cut water use, we install WaterSense-labeled faucets that use at least 20 percent less water without losing pressure.

When Faucet Service Is the Right Call

  • A faucet drips when it is off

A drip with the handle closed usually means a worn cartridge, seat or seal. We identify the part, repair it where the body is sound, and test under pressure.

  • Flow is low at one tap only

Low flow at a single tap points to an aerator, a cartridge or a supply line for that fixture, not to the house system. Each is checked in order.

  • A handle is stiff, loose or will not shut fully

Handles fail at cartridges, stems and mounting. The fixture is assessed whole, since a handle fault and a drip often share a cause.

  • A new faucet is being fitted

A new fixture is fitted with fresh supply lines and working shut-offs, and the drain connection is checked, so the install does not inherit an old valve's fault.

How Faucet Service Works in Conyers

Faucet work in Conyers follows water chemistry and fixture era. Mineral content wears cartridges and seats, causing drips and low flow, and it builds on aerators until a tap that once ran freely barely flows. Older homes often have original brass fixtures and older shut-off valves that need rebuilding; newer builds have builder-grade fixtures that fail at supply lines first. Every faucet visit therefore checks the shut-offs and supply lines alongside the fixture itself, and a cracked supply line from a winter freeze is looked for before it becomes a flood.

  • Olde Town ConyersMany homes here have original brass faucets and older shut-off valves that need rebuilding or replacement alongside the fixture.
  • FieldstoneLarger homes with multiple bathrooms often need several faucets serviced in one visit, with cartridges matched per fixture.
  • Honey CreekNewer construction with builder-grade fixtures that often fail at the supply lines first; supply lines and shut-offs are checked on every visit.
  • Lake CapriNear the lake, sediment in the supply can clog aerators and wear cartridges faster. Aerators and supply lines are checked together.
  • Rockdale Water Resources supplyMost of the area is served by Rockdale Water Resources from Big Haynes Creek, with the 2025 consumer confidence report showing no violations. A sudden bill jump still warrants a meter and fixture check.
  • Ageing pipe erasConyers (median year built 1993) and Rockdale County (1990) mix galvanized, copper, cast iron and PEX. Each material fails differently, so diagnosis starts with what is actually in the walls and ground.

From problem to finished result

  • A kitchen faucet that dripped all night

    Before

A steady drip with the handle closed kept the sink wet and the household awake.

    After

The cartridge and seat were identified as the cause, replaced, and the faucet tested hot and cold at full pressure with no drip.

A drip with the handle closed is a cartridge, seat or seal fault. Note whether it drips hot, cold or both before the visit.

  • Low flow at a single bathroom tap

    Before

One tap ran weakly while every other fixture in the house ran normally.

    After

The aerator and cartridge were checked in order, the blocked aerator and worn cartridge were dealt with, and flow recovered to match the other taps.

Low flow at one tap only is a fixture fault, not a house fault. Check the aerator first — it is the simplest cause.

  • A new faucet on seized shut-offs

    Before

A planned new faucet sat above shut-offs that would not close.

    After

The shut-offs and supply lines were renewed with the fixture, so the new faucet does not depend on valves that cannot close.

A new fixture on seized valves is half a job. Ask whether the shut-offs were checked, not just the faucet.

Problems Faucet Service Covers

Most faucet calls fall into a handful of categories. Here are the ones we see most often in Conyers and how each is handled.

  • Faucet drips constantly, even when closed

    Drips with the handle closed

Cartridge, seat and seal are tested in order. The failed part is replaced where the body is sound.

  • Water leaks from the base of the faucet

    Low flow at one tap

Aerator, cartridge and supply line are checked in order, so a house-pressure problem is not mistaken for a fixture fault.

  • Low water pressure at the faucet

    Stiff, loose or spinning handles

Cartridge, stem and mounting are assessed together, since handle and drip faults often share a cause.

  • Old faucet is corroded or the finish is failing

    Failed supply lines and shut-offs

Aged or seized supply lines and valves are renewed with the fixture, so the repair does not depend on a failing valve.

Done properly, tested before we leave

  • Written price before work

You agree the price and the scope before work starts. Oct-2026 Atlanta market data on this page is background only, never a quote for your job — call for a written price before work.

  • Work to the adopted code

Faucet work is built to the 2024 International Plumbing Code with Georgia Amendments, effective 1 January 2026. Permits are checked with the City of Conyers or Rockdale County as applicable, where a replacement changes supply or drain routing.

  • Repair where the body is sound

A sound faucet body gets a cartridge or seal, not a new fixture. Replacement is recommended only where the body has actually failed.

  • Tested, not assumed

New and repaired faucets are run through hot and cold, checked for drips at every joint, and shown to you before we pack up, with old parts left for you to see.

What to know before the visit

Three observations make a faucet visit faster. Here is what to note before calling.

  • Hot, cold or both

A drip on hot only, cold only or both narrows the cartridge and supply at fault.

  • One tap or the whole house

One weak tap is a fixture fault; every tap weak is a system fault. Note which you have.

  • Whether the shut-offs turn

Try the shut-offs under the sink gently. If they will not move, say so — they may need renewing with the fixture.

  • No Accountability they replaced a toilet they broke but said they didn't, I complained about other things I found disrespectful only to get pushback, they cut holes they didn't need to cut. The plumbing work was good work but if your cutting holes go from stud to stud to make it easy on the homeowner to repair. And I didn't make a big deal of it but I got to different quotes first through a recommendation from a realtor that called and they quoted 3000 for plumbing and 14 hundred for sheet rock repair that turned into 3600 and no sheatrock repair.

  • Really nice people! The company is run by a husband-and-wife team, and they've both been very friendly and easy to work with. Their prices are reasonable, and once you're ready to get the work done, they get started right away. What I appreciated the most was that they stayed at my house well past normal business hours just to make sure I had running hot water and could take a shower that night. They installed my new pipes and water heater and made sure there were no leaks before leaving. As I've been checking out their work, I've also noticed how neat and careful they are. They aren't just tearing out my sheetrock unnecessarily. They're making clean cuts and even labeling the pieces they remove so my handyman can put them back when it's time to patch everything up. That means I won't have to buy a bunch of additional sheetrock, which will save me money on the repairs afterward. I really appreciate that they’re thinking about things like that while doing the job. So far, I'm very happy with the work and how they’ve handled everything. I'll update my review once the entire job is completed!
